What should I do if the wire is broken during the wire cutting process?
When machining workpieces, wire breakage sometimes occurs in medium wire cutting. If both ends of the wire feed drum are normal, you can rewire for processing. Once the middle is broken, the molybdenum wire is wasted. Then, what should I do if the middle wire is cut and the wire is broken?
1. Poor quality of molybdenum wire: choose good quality molybdenum wire
2. Machining parameter error: choose appropriate machining parameters for different materials and workpiece thicknesses. Note that it is easy to disconnect the wires when selecting high current conditions. Conductive block is worn out of slot, wire is clamped: adjust the conductive block to the new position, replace the conductive block if necessary
3. Improper concentration of cutting fluid: keep the concentration of cutting fluid at 11-12.5%
4. The accuracy of the guide wheel (especially the support guide wheel): the bearing should be replaced regularly in strict accordance with the maintenance instructions of the machine tool, and the guide wheel or bearing should be replaced if necessary
5. The flushing fluid is too small to effectively rush into the cutting seam, and poor discharge conditions will lead to wire breakage: set a reasonable flushing fluid size; regularly check whether the cutting fluid is sufficient and the circulation channel is unblocked
6. Workpiece deformation, clamping and breaking molybdenum wire: avoid material cutting deformation: material heat treatment process is reasonable; pre-machined threaded holes; pre-cut to relieve stress; optimize cutting path
7. There are burrs or oxide skin on the surface of the workpiece, resulting in inexplicable wire breakage during processing: Grind or polish the surface of the workpiece before WEDM
8. There are non-conductive impurities inside the workpiece material or non-conductive oxides on the surface of the workpiece: replace the material; remove the non-conductive impurities before cutting
9. The quality of the wire cutting fluid is poor and the concentration is not suitable: the processing fluid is not replaced for a long time, it is too dirty,
